During the first part of June our family along with Glen's parents and his seven siblings went to Aspen Grove. It is a family camp up Provo Canyon that is run by BYU. We were there for a week which was filled with FUN!! It is thee best place for a family reunion!! Just think EFY for families!! There are several other families there and lots of different accommodation choices. The staff there does all the entertaining, provides classes, food, events, firesides etc... The kids are all divided into age groups and have counselors over them (yup, even those as small as Gabe!!) Evan's age group was the Wildcats. Eli was a bobcat and Gabe was a romper. After eating breakfast in the big dining hall together the kids would go off to do activites and games leaving us adults to do WHATEVER!!!! They have special speakers come in and do seminars. they have RC races, archery, arts and crafts, shuffel board, ping pong, racketball, basketball and volleyball tournaments that you can sign up for in groups if you want. and that's not even half of it...There is a huge pool area, a pond for fishing, a ropes course with rock climbing and a great park with a giant field for games.... It is just the best place ever!! Everyone meets back up for lunch to eat together and then it's off again for more fun. The it's time for dinner and each night after dinner they provide some kind of activity like a family movie night, a talent show, family competition relay games out on the field, and water games in the pool. They do this wild west night where they have train rides and snowcones and it's sort of like a carnival. Anyway you get the idea right? Seriously you should check it out for your families if you have never been, is is very reasonably priced and the best thing is all the work of a family reunion is done for you!! The kids have a blast and the parents get to do fun things on their own too but there's lots of family time also!! We love it there and are looking forward to going again next year with all of Glen's BIG extended family ( Grandma Andersen and all of Glen's mom's siblings and their families) We totally recommend it!! There is something for every kind of families interests!! You should Check it out!! Thanks to Paul and Shirlene for making all the arrangements and for making it possible for all of us to go! on the last evening there they did a closing show where each of the age groups did a dance that they had worked on during the week and the staff did some skits and stuff. They had a sideshow of pictures from the week and then after that they had a family dance. Our camera was out of batteries so we used Glen's sister's camera and still need to get those pictures from her. All of the pictures on this post are just a few of the many that I took... I think I might have to do a slide show of my own to get them all to fit!! check back if you want to...

That looks awesome! And I'm sure it's something your boys are going to remember for a long time. It's great to have family get-togethers; they make you feel so much closer to all your cousins and everyone.
What a fantastic place for a family reunion! I love the idea of built in babysitters! You can actually enjoy some adult time together without the kiddies! I could go for some of that, right about now :) It is beautiful there too! You are seriously so lucky Em, Glen's family is so great! I am glad you guys had a great week!
